Soaring Eagle Lodge is what happens when a family pours $5.8 million and an obsessive eye for detail into a Montana home. Three or four or five families can spread out across the lodge and still actually find each other for dinner.
Mornings begin at the master-suite coffee bar with the GNP peaks pink in the windows. Afternoons split off — kids in the 12-seat theater, grandparents in the 8-person steam sauna, the rest of the crew bouncing between the game room and the smoker. Evenings end in one of two hot tubs with the mountains glowing under the last light.
This is a house designed for milestone birthdays, ski trips, family reunions, friendsgiving — for the rare weekend you can finally get the whole crew in one place. We've thought of it all so you can focus on the people, not the logistics.
"We wanted the inside of this house to feel like the mountains right outside the windows." — Brea
This downstairs mural is one of several that a high-end muralist hand-painted across the lodge. We flew her in specifically for this house and gave her a single direction: tie every wall back to the Glacier National Park peaks just outside. She delivered an immersive experience that pulls the Montana landscape inside the lodge — the kind of thing you don't usually find outside of a five-star hotel.
That same obsessive attention shaped the rest of the build. A 12-seat home theater designed like a small cinema. Two hot tubs and two saunas, custom-millwork master suite, designer fixtures sourced one piece at a time, a coffee bar with the kind of mountain view you usually have to drive to. We dropped $5.8M and a year of weekends into this house — and our family did it the way we wished other vacation homes had been built when we were the ones traveling.
The result is a lodge that feels deeply personal. Not a flip. Not a portfolio property. Somewhere truly special.
Most Whitefish rentals stop at "great views and a hot tub." We took it further — purpose-built rooms designed to give every age group their own headline experience inside the lodge.
Black-light walls hand-painted with a Montana-mountain motif that lights up after dark, plus arcade games, Pop-A-Shot, shuffleboard, and a built-in lounge for spectators. The kids disappear in here for hours — and most adults end up joining the tournament.
Designed and built like a small private movie theater — three rows of plush red recliners, dimmable sconces, surround sound, and a screen big enough to feel like a real night out. Bring popcorn. Argue over the movie. End the night here.
Floor-to-ceiling windows pointed straight at the Glacier National Park peaks. A spa-style en-suite bath with a deep soaking tub framed by another wall of mountain glass. Custom millwork, designer fixtures, and a coffee bar built into the room — so you can wake up slow with the mountains and a fresh cup before anyone else is up.
Both face the GNP peaks. Open year-round. Soak after a day on the slopes, watch the alpenglow, then watch the stars come out behind the mountains.
An 8-person steam sauna in the basement and a 4-person cedar barrel sauna on the back deck. Cleansing heat with views the brochures never quite capture.
Red leather recliners, dimming lights, popcorn. The kids vanish into it after dinner. The adults usually follow within an hour.
Arcade games, Pop-A-Shot, shuffleboard, the works. Designed for the kind of group that's still talking about the championship six months later.
Brea added a second coffee bar in the primary suite so the first cup of the day never needs a stairwell. The milkshake bar downstairs has earned its own following.
A full meat smoker, an outdoor grill, a long dining table on the deck, and a stone firepit for s'mores under the Big Sky. Built for legendary Montana cookouts.
Bill and his team stock every property the way they'd want it when they arrive — from the shampoo to the tin foil. No scavenger hunts. No forgotten essentials. Just unpack and start your vacation.

"Wow. The most amazing Airbnb we have ever stayed in by far. The views are absolutely stunning — peaks of Glacier National Park visible from everywhere. We had 18 family members and there was plenty of room to spread out. The star of the show for us was the milkshake bar."
